stap \*- manipulate tape position

[x[n]...] ...
.sh DESCRIPTION
.it Stap
performs
.it stty
operations on the mag tape drive to position
the tape relative to file marks, and/or skip blocks.
The tape drive is opened for reading only unless a tape mark is written.
 
The argument
.bd x
can be any of the following:
.s3
.lp +21 10
b	Skip forward block
.lp +21 10
f	Skip forward file
.lp +21 10
B	Skip reverse block
.lp +21 10
F	Skip reverse file
.lp +21 10
r	Rewind
.lp +21 10
e	Write tape mark
.lp +21 10
m	Write tape mark
.lp +21 10
o	Put drive off line
.i0
.dt

and
.bd n
represents a decimal count (\ default 1\ ).

The default arguments will position the tape at the beginning of the next file.
