.th ERRLOG VIII 12/2/78
.sh NAME
errlog \*- system error logger daemon
.sh SYNOPSIS
.bd errlog
.sh DESCRIPTION
.it Errlog
reads the system error emmitting device
and writes on the error log file.
It will date-stamp errors at suitable intervals,
cannot be fazed by faults on its own output device,
will complain about over frequent errors,
and runs at an unseemly high priority.
On shutdown it leaves the errlog file in a known state,
and on startup asks why the system crashed if the file is not in this state.
The errlog file is ascii as produced by the system "printf"
(\ and tidied up by
.it errlog
) and may be read with cat(I) etc.
